I’m a Water Resources Engineer and Climate Data Scientist with a focus on solving complex challenges at the intersection of water, climate, and community resilience. My expertise includes flood risk analysis, stormwater and water systems modeling, climate risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, multi-hazard risk assessment, and integrated surface water–groundwater modeling. I apply a blend of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, geospatial analysis, numerical modeling and advanced data-driven methodologies to develop sustainable, science-informed engineering solutions for supporting resilient infrastructure design, effective water resource planning, and robust climate adaptation strategies, ultimately aiming to build more resilient water systems and communities.
I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Water Resources Engineering) from the University of Central Florida (UCF), where I was affiliated with the Coastal Risks and Engineering Lab at the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering and the National Center for Integrated Coastal Research. My doctoral research contributed to several major, multi-institutional projects funded by the NSF, DOE, and National Academies, focusing on assessing multi-hazard risks and impacts of compound climate and weather extreme events for socio-economic risk management. My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering (Water Resources specialization) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, India, and a Joint Master’s Degree in Water Science and Engineering (Flood Risk Management) through the Erasmus Mundus Program. This program took me through four European institutions: Technische Universität Dresden (Germany), UNESCO-IHE (Netherlands), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), and University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).
With diverse background and international experience spanning academia, applied research, and consulting roles across North America, Europe, and South Asia, I am committed to advancing sustainable, data-driven approaches to managing water and environmental risks in a rapidly changing climate. I’m passionate about combining science, engineering, and technology to advance community-centered climate resilience and sustainable water systems.
